When brides and grooms first walk through the doors of the Chapel they’re awestruck. As they walk towards the altar, light steaming through the windows, imagining the sanctuary filled with their most important people, they’re wooed by the peaceful beauty of the place. From the first tour to the wedding day, Vicki Greenleaf, manager of Windsor Weddings that rents out The Academy Chapel, will see brides through from the first consultation to the last minute planning. On the wedding day a Windsor Weddings hostess will be on hand for the entire event.
Located in the historic Academy building in Vancouver, Washington, the Chapel at the Academy features a breath-taking three-story-high carved altar, beautiful stained glass windows, and a lovely balcony at the rear of the chapel, perfect for your soloist and videographer! The stately French-Carpenter-Gothic Providence Academy building was opened as a young ladies academy in 1874. The chapel was finished and dedicated in 1883.
So many photographers say, ‘I can’t take a bad photo here! The lighting is perfect!’. Not only are the Chapel ideal for treasured memories, but the circular staircase offers an ideal flowing-gown photo spot, and the ground, garden and brick building provide warm backgrounds for outside shots. Your guests will appreciate the ample free parking. The Academy is only 1 mile from the I-5 bridge in downtown Vancouver, Washington.
