The Ring Bearer, often a boy ranging in age from 4 – 8 is appointed the duties to be a Ring Bearer. The ring bearer’s primary duty is to precede the bride either walking alone or escorting a flower girl down the aisle carrying a ring pillow. Generally, the ring pillow is not used to carry the actual wedding rings down the aisle; the best man holds it for safe keeping. If a bride chooses to have a ring bearer for her wedding, she will bestow the honor to a young boy close to her heart. He is usually a close family member like a younger brother, nephew or best friend’s son to carry out this meaningful task. |
